General Info/FAQ

1. YOU PAY FOR EITHER A BOARDING or DAYCARE STAY (not both)

        BOARDING = Overnight Stay  |  DAYCARE = Day Stay Only (NO Overnight)

2. DAYCARE is only offered for dogs

3. PLAYABILITY = How we divide the dogs into groups based on personality, size, age, physical needs, and how they interact with other dogs

9. DROP-OFF and PICK-UP—Do Not Knock on Door!!

DOG BOARDING: Tuesday – Saturday  7–10 am  or 4–6 pm (drop-off) and 6:30 pm (pick-up)

Sunday or Monday,   8—10 am or 4–6 pm

*Tuesday—Saturday, 11–4 pm, check-in at the retail counter

CLOSED 10–11 am

         CAT, BIRD, POCKET PET BOARDING: Tuesday—Saturday 11 am—6 pm

         *Arrangements can be made for Drop-off and Pick-up of Cats, Birds, and Pocket Pets during

         Dog Boarding Building hours at the 2809 George Washington Blvd building

10. HOLIDAY HOURS:

CLOSED: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter

CLOSE at 4 pm: Thanksgiving Eve, Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, July 4th, and Super Bowl Sunday

11. HOLIDAY RESERVATIONS:

Require a minimum of a 3-night stay and a 2-night nonrefundable deposit

Holidays Include: New Year’s, Memorial Day, Easter, School Spring Break Week, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas

Small Dog Boarding/Daycare

Small dogs = dogs unable to jump 30” tall fences and able to be crated for bedtime

Guests must have

  1. Proof of current vaccinations from a licensed Veterinarian

a. Rabies b. Parvo/Distemper Combo and c. Bordetella(Kennel Cough)

  1. A completed and signed Gupton’s Boarding and Daycare Release is on file at Gupton Pet Care Center Download the boarding and daycare release here
  1. Completed a meet and greet prior to your first visit (takes 5-10 minutes)

Meet & greet can be done at the retail counter Tues thru Sat 11 am—6 pm

  1. Written instruction for their own food (optional) and any medications/supplements and/or any health issues of which we should be aware
    1. Feeding and medicine administration are available in the 7 am -7 pm time frame only
  1. A reservation (prefer no less than 24 hours notice) for overnight boarding

No reservation is needed for small dog daycare unless the guest has special needs (includes diet restrictions, intact males, females in season, unable to play in group daycare, etc.)

Facilities and Amenities

  1. Heated and Cooled indoor play areas divided into Playability areas by 30” tall fences with open dog doors to outdoor areas
  2. Graveled (no grass allergies) shaded outdoor play areas with 6ft fences
  3. Size appropriate toys and/or napping areas
  4. Individual sleeping crates with fleece bed liners for night time
  5. Isolation play areas for intact males or dogs that do not play well with others
         (additional fee applies) otherwise playability appropriate group play
  6. Our dry dog food blend of Country Vet Naturals, Wholesomes, Ultimates, and More
  7. Canned Foods or Frozen BilJac food as needed
  8. NaturVet Company Calming supplements for nervous/anxious guests
  9. No charge for administering special feedings/supplements/medicines (written instructions required)
  10. Complementary Bath for guests after a 3 or more night stay (done the day before scheduled pick up—after the 3rd night—between 12–2 pm)
  11. Additional Grooming Services are offered for an additional fee

Medium/Large Dog Boarding/Daycare

Medium/Large dogs =  able to jump 30” tall fences but do not jump or climb 6ft fences

During busy seasons (holidays and summer months) boarding guests take priority to daycare guests.  During this time daycare is restricted and must be approved the morning of—Restricted times will be announced on our homepage and on Facebook.

    Suites can house no more than 2 medium/large guests—no discount for double occupancy suites

  3. 6ft tall industrial chain link fencing around suites and runs
  4. Sleeping blankets (as long as they do not eat the blankets)
  5. Food and water dishes and size-appropriate toys
  6. Covered outdoor runs for fence jumpers/climbers (additional fee applies)
  7. Our dry dog food blend of Country Vet Naturals, Wholesomes, Ultimates, and More

Daycare for boarding dogs

All the suites can be opened and connected.  If boarding guest get along with other dogs, then said guest’s suite can be opened and connected to the group play medium/large dogs.  If not then the boarding guest will only be allowed to interact with other dogs thru the fences and not allowed direct contact

Facilities and Amenities

  1. A. Suites: Rooms that are approximately 6” by 5” with a carpeted cat tree with hide hole, litter boxes, and ceramic food and water dishes. Suites can house up to 3 cats from the same household
  2. B. Cat Condo Cages 2’ by 3’ by 4’tall with 2 resting shelves (1 with sherpa covering), litter box, ceramic food and water dishes, and partial cage cover to reduce guest stress. Single adult occupancy or multiple kittens depending on age
  3. Litter boxes are completely cleaned and changed daily in addition to scooping as needed throughout the day
  4. Nulo dry cat food and a variety of quality wet foods provided
  5. Food and water dishes are washed and reset daily
  6. Batting toys and snuggle fleece blankets
  7. Feliway pheromone spray used as needed to help reduce anxiety
  8. No charge for administering special feedings/supplements/medicines (written instructions required)

Suites:  Single occupancy $20 per night 2-3 cats $33 per night

  1. A.  Suites: 6’X2’pen lined with paper and bedding (spot cleaned and completely changed as needed) litter box with walnut pellet litter, timothy hay blend, ceramic food and water dishes, Sunseed or Oxbow pellets, fresh veggies, and chew toys 1-2 rabbit occupancy
  2. B.  30” Wire cage with solid bottom lined with paper and bedding with ceramic food and water dishes, timothy hay, Sunseed or Oxbow pellets, fresh veggies, and chew toys. Single rabbit occupancy only. Cage is completely cleaned daily
  3. Pellet food, timothy hay blends, and fresh veggies provided
  4. No charge for administering special feedings/supplements/medicines (written instructions required)

Facilities and Amenities

We provide at least 1 type of insect (Dubian roaches/mealworms worms/crickets) in addition to commercial food mixes for each type of reptile we board

  1. Leopard Gecko: 10-20gallon with reptile carpet liner, hide cave, climbing bush, food and water dish, food, heat lamp
  2. Bearded Dragon: 20-30gallon with reptile carpet liner, basking rocks/branches, food and water dishes, food, heat lamp, & UVB light
  3. Crested Gecko: 10-15 gallon with coco husk bedding, humidity moss, hide cave, and climbing bush, food and water dish, food, & heat lamp
  4. Tortoise: customize to type and size of tortoise (desert vs forest)
  5. Other reptile set-ups are available upon request including Water Turtles, Water Dragons, Chameleons, Axolotl, etc.

  1. Species-appropriate cages, dishes, perches, toys, bedding, and food
    1. Food:  Zupreem pellet mixed with species-appropriate seeds, fruits/veggies, spay millet, and other healthy people food-based snacks
  2. Fresh food and water daily
  3. Spot clean cages daily and complete cleaning weekly

  2. Cage is completely cleaned daily with fresh food and water
